@ChuckZlatkin The PMG actually has two offices, one at postal headquarters in DC and another "satellite" office near his home in Greensboro, NC. (And probably a government car and a driver.)

Why does the PMG have a recently renovated "satellite office" in the Greensboro NC District Office? Yes, he lives in Greensboro, but doesn't he work at L'Enfant Plaza in Washington DC?

In Los Angeles, nearly one-quarter of all new vehicles registered in July were plug-in. By 2030, the US will have almost 20 million EVs and need 10 million charging stations. https://t.co/TNZ7b71zem
GAO says access to EV charging stations is generally limited at federal facilities — 4,000 charging ports in less than 500 cities. The perfect place to put new EV ports is at post offices, where they'd be available all day while trucks are out delivering. https://t.co/wQG5j1NxIa
"The Postal Service won’t say whether it welcomes that cash infusion [of $3 billion for EVs], nor has it offered extensive details about how it intends to use the money, prompting criticisms from congressional Democrats and environmentalists." https://t.co/mVNBse8OFf
On Oct. 11 the House Oversight Committee wrote PMG DeJoy asking for details about how the USPS plans to spend the $3 billion in funding for EVs and to become part of the national charging network. The deadline for a reply was Oct. 25. Could see it today. https://t.co/ZvN8uIXk6H
The average USPS delivery vehicle drives about 7,000 miles per year, 24 miles per route. The plan to centralize carrier operations would add another 7,500 miles per truck, 25 miles per route, for 100,000 routes. https://t.co/7UjCXseV7s

"There is an astonishing circulation of letters and newspapers among these savage woods." wrote Alexis de Tocqueville in 1831 as he journeyed through Kentucky and Tennessee. And it was all thanks to the postal system. https://t.co/09TIOXtni9
The USPS wants to change the critical entry time for newspapers & periodicals from 11am and 2pm to 8am. USPS says this will save money, improve on-time performance scores, and help with processing of packages and ad mail. https://t.co/p3C8xO32tT
Delivering the news has been one of the Post Office's most important functions since it was first established, as enshrined in postal law. Now delivering packages and ad mail takes priority. It's a sad sign of the times and bad news for the newspaper business.
Gordon, WI Residents Hold Rally Pushing For Post Office To Stay Open. People will now have to go to the post office in Solon Springs, which is a 20-minute round-trip drive, even longer for some. https://t.co/K7IuENGHU6
