Save the Sharks

This account is designated to raise awareness of shark finning and help put an end to this inhumane, wasteful practice. I demand action and you should too!

[Save the Sharks @SavetheSharks9]

I urge you to sign the No Shark Fin Pledge! Our sharks need our help! To further help this cause, advocate for laws and regulations on shark finning and help spread the facts of shark finning! The sharks and I both thank you! https://t.co/WjshJNaIo7

GUESS WHAT PEOPLE? Shark fin soup isn’t even good for you! That’s right, scientists have linked it Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease due to the HIGH levels of mercury and Beta-methylamino-L-alanine, which is a potent neurotoxin. This isn’t benefiting ANYONE! #finbannow

[Save the Sharks @SavetheSharks9]

WE NEED TO CARE ABOUT THE SHARK FIN TRADE here’s why: 1. It is cruel and inhumane. 2. Sharks are crucial to the ecosystem! 3. They are worth more alive than they are dead in the fin trade. 4. Shark populations have decreased by 60-70%. #endsharkfinning#finbannow

Sharks need our help now more than ever. Do your part by urging your representatives to pass a #FinBanNow: https://t.co/q4QLQYgfXl

#FinBanNow For YEARS NOAA has been reporting incorrect information to Congress about shark fin imports and exports. In 2011, NOAA reported only 38 metric tons of shark fin exports from the U.S., but the FOA reported importing 295 metric tons from the U.S.! #endsharkfinning

[Oceana @oceana]

Shark finning is the cruel act of removing a shark's fins then discarding it back to sea where it's like to bleed to death or drown. Tell Congress to pass a #FinBanNow: https://t.co/XZk5lnfovl

[Oceana @oceana]

Fins from as many as 73 million sharks end up in the global shark fin trade every year. We need a #FinBanNow https://t.co/rHVyVQT7F5

Shark finning in America. I had to see it for myself. And sponsored by @YamahaOutboards. Disgusted.

[Save the Sharks @SavetheSharks9]

Although shark finning has been banned in U.S. waters back in 2010, we are still importing fins by the tons! Did you know about 73 MILLION sharks end up in the shark fin trade EVERY YEAR? #endsharkfinning

[Sea Save Foundation @seasave]

A gentle reminder to let the world know how much you value sharks and want congress to pass a bill to ban barbaric shark finning

#endsharkfinning Shark finning is inhumane. Did you know that fisherman who fin sharks just hack them off while the sharks are still alive? This disgusts me and we need to rally for a change. Be the change, help me put an end to this madness!!

[Oceana @oceana]

#FinBanNow: It's time to start being afraid FOR sharks.

Fins from up to 73 million sharks end up in the global fin trade every year. Tell your representative to support a nationwide ban on the trade of shark fins: https://t.co/I7uVoWfohk
