At the #BuildBPS & @BostonSchools meeting tonight, @LPerille & district officials provided us with some of their most evasive “answers” yet. @UrbanSciA will fight for its community, but it’s hard to work with the #bps system when it doesn’t value its students or teachers!

Students here at @UrbanSciA are proud to say that our response to the transfer process is a firm and “unified no.”

@SaveUrbanSci @dunneteach The transfer process should not be happening now. Nothing has been voted on. There is just a proposal out there. Students response to starting the transfer process can be a unified “no.” That can have impact.

@UrbanSciA’s student government council leads a peaceful and silent #protest against #BuildBPS’s efforts to transfer out students. +500 students gather in the school’s halls, resulting in the cancellation of the district’s visit for the following day! #NoBuildBPS @BostonSchools

However, the proposal hasn't been passed yet! The School Committee will make their final decision in December. THIS IS A SOCIAL JUSTICE ISSUE. We will fight till the end to save our community!

We, the students, will be dispersed across the district with little to no say regarding what schools we will be sent to. USA students will likely be funneled into underperforming level 4 schools. Furthermore, @BostonPublicSchools is alreading beginning the transfer process!!
