Another day of less than £100 sales...if you are in town and buying coffee, please consider us instead of the big chains. Our coffee is delicious and we use local suppliers, roasted here in Liverpool.
So if it's a trade choice between:
a) chlorinated chicken, plastic cheese, nasty chocolate and
b) European food, beer & wine...
...I confess, I have a strong preference for the latter.
GP practices were denied funding to cover the NI rise because they are private sector organisations according to the Treasury
Yet they are not eligible to NI reimbursements that are open to small private sector companies because they are public sector according to the Treasury🤷🏻♂️
Dear @BBC ,
You are leading #bbc news with quotes from what Labour politicians said about Trump. But even right wing Tories said similar things. Why don’t you mention that too?
Brexit the Elephant can often be found quietly standing in airports all over Europe —watching British people queuing at passport control.
“The queues are not always very long,” he admitted.
“It depends on the time of day and whether lots of planes have arrived or are scheduled to depart at the same time.”
“But if you’re unlucky, the queues can be really long and slow and some people may even miss their flights.”
“It’s very unpredictable,” he added. “The one thing for sure, though, is that the immigration processes at the border take significantly longer for each passenger than before Brexit”

Not only did this thug bully and swear at the security officer but he then lied to investigators by denying he’d sworn at the officer. Moreover he appealed against the ruling - and lost. This apology had to be dragged out of him. The words were agreed in advance.
The Russian attack on Kyiv has been going on for seven hours now. There is destruction in most areas. One is close to my home. Many people have been evacuated from their homes and from one hospital. The attack is still ongoing.
As I listen to the sounds of drones, I’m reading how Americans are relieved there won’t be WW3. To stop the spread of war, people need to stop the country that’s attacking, not destroy one of the countries that are being attacked 🤦🏼♀️
I wish people would stop asking if the NHS / NHS GP’s will be exempt from the NI rises - they will not be … hospitals will not be . No one is exempt. Every employer must pay it.
The question should be how / if it will be reimbursed ?
#AirPollution is just one environmental issue - both inside and outside homes - that the science is telling us is a contributor to premature deaths, ill-health and the generally terrible state of UK wellbeing

Jeez. The NHS will pay the King’s duchy £11m over 15 years to rent a warehouse for ambulances whilst the Ministry of Justice pays William’s duchy £1.5m a year to use Dartmoor prison

I do wish politicians and reporters could tell the difference between Pharmacists and pharmacies.
But making them exempt creates a tax loophole? Maybe increase primary care budgets by the tax that would be recovered?

I'm sure many of these were EVs meant to make our modern consumer lifestyles "climate-friendly" & "green".
In our hubris we think we can maintain our high-tech industrial civilization despite wrecking the climate & biosphere, but nature has had enough.

Do you think that America will ever recover from this level of utter & complete stupidity once Trump is gone? Jesus Christ almighty, how did we ever get here?
🔥 Exactly this.
If Starmer wants progress, he needs to embrace progress. Just talking the talk is a waste of everyone’s time.
The public voted to boot out a Brexit-Tory government, not to get more of the same sclerosis.
