Just because Anthropic replaced Git with its own version control system does not mean you should too :)

They are merging 30K PRs a day. At that scale, Git became a bottleneck, so reinventing version control makes sense.

For the rest of us, "git push" is probably still good enough.

Fix the actual bottlenecks before picking up something fancy. Do not cargo-cult solutions to problems you do not have.

Sometimes people do not need big promises. They do not need speeches. They just need someone to sit beside them and make them feel that they are not alone.

And this is why I admire Rahul Gandhi the most.

Today Ankita Bhandari’s parents came to Delhi seeking justice for their daughter.

Rahul Gandhi came to know about it and went to meet them.

And what touched me the most was how he simply sat on the ground beside her father.

No big speech. No drama. No attempt to make that moment about himself.

He was just sitting there.

And I kept thinking about how much that small gesture must mean to a father who has been fighting for justice for his daughter.

Because sometimes when you are fighting such a long and painful battle you do not expect someone to come and solve everything for you.

You just want to know that someone cares.

That someone is listening.

That someone is willing to stand beside you.

And even if that person says nothing, their presence gives you a little more strength to keep fighting.

That is exactly what I felt watching Rahul Gandhi today.

He was not there to give anyone a lecture. He was not there to make some big announcement.

He was simply there with a family that has been through so much.

And I think that matters.

We often talk about what makes someone a good leader. We talk about speeches and big decisions.

But sometimes it is something as simple as knowing when to speak and when to just sit quietly beside someone who is hurting.

I do not know what Ankita’s father was feeling at that moment.

But I hope he felt that he was not alone in this fight.

And for me that is what empathy looks like.
