About this initiative:

Every year during Navratri, the Ahmedabad Police formally deploys multiple She Team units in plain traditional attire across major public and commercial Garba venues. Established specifically to safeguard women, children, and senior citizens, these specialized teams operate undercover each night to provide immediate intervention, create on-ground awareness, and uphold Gujarat's global reputation as one of the safest regions for women.

Washington, D.C. — U.S. citizen @Matt_VanDyke was granted automatic bail from Tihar Jail on September 25, 2026. This was after NIA did not invoke UAPA provisions, only Sections 21 & 23 of the Immigration, and Foreigners Act which was settled in court through his attorneys, along with permission to leave India for one month pending a final hearing Oct 23.

Matthew traveled back to the US, to reunite with family and friends. We hope that the matter will be resolved quickly, and the case is officially closed.
