This is why we fight for the decriminalisation of sex work. When sex work is decriminalised, it will be subject to employment law and sex workers can access the rights, safety and recourse we are due - inc. the power to fight back against bad bosses.

Turns out Britney Spears' "Womanizer" video is a great analogue to Eliza Haywood's Fantomina. Just look at how she integrates all the personalities that have been seducing the same womanizing guy near the video's end. The deep #c18th strikes yet again.

Rereading the 2007 introduction of The London Jilt; or, The Politick Whore (1683) and it feels a bit... dated. @broadviewpress do you ever do updates on your editions' intros? The state of #c18th sex work narratives scholarship is now MUCH more robust 15+ years later #18thc
Recent PhDs, tomorrow I'm convening a workshop on "What I Wish I Knew"--a collection of experiences and knowledge that can help writers at the start of a dissertation. What should I add to my powerpoint??
