Arsenal's pursuit of highly rated Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has just become much more complicated.

Lille president Olivier Létang has made it clear that any club hoping to sign the 18-year-old sensation this summer should be prepared to pay a record-breaking fee. While refusing to reveal an exact valuation, he hinted that Bouaddi could be worth more than £100 million, pointing to the recent big-money transfers of Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali.

Létang argued that Bouaddi's age, experience and enormous potential make him even more valuable than those players, insisting they are older and have less room for development.

The Moroccan World Cup star has emerged as one of Europe's hottest young midfielders after another outstanding season with Lille, attracting serious interest from Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Despite the enormous asking price, Arsenal remain long-term admirers of Bouaddi as Andrea Berta continues searching for midfield reinforcements for Mikel Arteta.
