Tesla is putting its CEO's politics above its own mission.
In the US, Tesla is advocating to kill EV incentives, but in the UK, it is advocating to increase taxes on fossil-fuel-powered vehicles and use the money for EV incentives.
Why such widely different approaches? Why is Tesla not advocating for higher taxes on polluting vehicles in the US?
The only answer is Elon's politics.
Tesla/Elon simply cannot come out for that because Elon's only allies now are right-wingers who believe all taxes are theft.
