@IndiaBioscience & @Rukhmabai101 are thrilled to announce the awardees of the joint pilot community program, She Inspires! 🤝
She Inspires! aims to empower women in science to inspire the next generation, by providing a small fund for them to engage with their communities.🧪🔬
🪨 Dendrites are pseudofossils that grow in quasi 2-D spaces, such as cracks and sedimentary laminations. It's all about the right conditions! #Science#geology
Thrilled to have led (with @sayoni_she) the Science Exhibition & Camp at Panpur Adarsha Vidyapith (H.S.), Haringhata, W.B. under @vigyanpratibha today
Students from local H.S. schools broughtamazing models and asked thoughtful questions; our fossil display got a lot of interest
In this year's 'International Day of Women and Girls in Science', I would like to share some glimpses of the #sheinspires program I recently conducted. It was "An interactive session for school students about Palaeontology".
Thank you @Rukhmabai101@IndiaBioscience
This is an urgent plea to save the life of Dr. Shankhamala Ghosh, a brilliant scientist whose contributions to chemistry and applied science have been remarkable.
Dr. Ghosh, who holds a PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and serves as an Associate Scientist at Behr Process Paints India Pvt. Ltd., Pune, is now in critical condition, fighting a rare and severe brain infection, Meningoencephalitis.

(1/4) The three-day "National Conference on Women in Geosciences: Opportunities, Challenges and Accomplishments (2-4 Sept 2024)" has commenced today at NCESS. The event, presided over by Dr. M. Ravichandran, Hon'ble Secretary, @moesgoi, is being organized by the @ESSO_NCESS.
#FossilFriday‼️ We continue to digitize the @UAMNH@uamuseums paleontology collection (https://t.co/ZMvzx7qYmB) this semester. Here are hundreds of ~50 million-year-old gastropods from Alabama. 😃 Photo: undergraduate student intern Trudie Murphy #fossil#paleontology#snail
The #ReclaimTheNight movement, which started in Kolkata has snowballed rapidly all across the world, with women, trans and queer folx coming together in solidarity.

#FIIComics: The #Paris2024Olympics achieved full gender parity with men and women competing in equal numbers for the first time. Yet, challenges like respect and fair treatment persist, revealing that true equality in sports remains an ongoing struggle.
We updated the data from our @NatureEcoEvo paper for this (my parental leave project). Not a lot of changes (expected) but I hope to continue this so we can see how things are evolving!
