Non-Carats and even new Carats may be unaware, but the reason why SEVENTEEN became Kpop’s original self-producing group is out of NECESSITY.

Pledis, nearly bankrupt at the time, did not have enough resources nor manpower to fully support the group, so SVT took on ALL the roles themselves: from music creation to performance direction to actual marketing of their own group.

They were a self-producing group not to be a trend, but because they had no other choice if they want to survive in this cutthroat industry.
