Today on a bank shift I had the pleasure of working with a #punc21 on day one of her very first #puncplacemet

It was so nice to help her feel welcomed and show her some skills

Definitely take advantage of working with HCAs because alot of the time we are student nurses!🥰🤗

@EmmaPUNC22 Alot of our patients are sedated/ventilated so the less we touch them the better for them anyway so definitely good but for the awake ones just gives them time to rest but I also like it as its over lunch and gives the relatives a good opportunity to go off the unit and get lunch

@EmmaPUNC22 Where I work we have a protected hour from 1-2pm, no visitors and dim lights etc

3 months into NQN life and I'm off supernumerary, taking my own level 3 intubated, ventilated and sedated patients but suriving🥹😂 life is good and I've not had a nervous breakdown yet😂

8 years of healthcare experience, 3 years as a student nurse and 4 weeks in ICU

Less than 48hrs before final placement at EYE clinic starts and I've got conjunctivitis which i havent had for years!😂😂 LOL
