@benonwine and exposing it thru abrasive comedy was a form of exposing it and speaking up. If it made you uncomfortable, it’s because you likely experienced the very things it was trying to make fun of and expose, which is actually a GOOD thing.

@benonwine Often times the people who find this the funniest are the people who it’s allegedly it’s offensive against.

It’s funny because it touches on reality, and that makes the next generation uncomfortable.

@benonwine One girl there says that perhaps this exists because people didn’t speak up. If anything Little Britain was a form of speaking up. Many of these comedy shows are written by incredibly intelligent people who are aware of the discriminations,

@benonwine The irony is that the very things the kids are finding offensive, is that the show is poking fun at or highlighting offensive behaviors that happen in real life.

I think though it would be useful to develop it as not just a pitching exercise but also include workshopping and editing stages.

I think it would also be incredibly interesting to have the internal processes of writing sensationalized

@BrianTMcClellan I know with publishers is partially out of your hands but it’s incredibly jarring to have drastic differences by different narrators doing the same characters. I know each VA wants to bring their own interpretation

Travis is great, I hope he can continue the accent established by other narrators.
