After watching World Cup games, I'm going back to hating soccer.
The matches are frequently decided by strings hung across the arena, mysteriously disqualified goals, off-sides calls that don't make sense, fouls that don't exist and ones that don't get called.
Terrible sport.
i don’t wanna sound like im hating but Dort was legit one of the worst offensive starters in the league and was able to be hidden bc he played next to Shai. he’s an undersized forward who provided almost nothing off ball (movement/athleticism), rebounding or connective playmaking
Lu Dort was the longest tenured Thunder player and genuinely one of my favorite players of all time
He was a catalyst that turned the Thunder around in 2019-2020 as an undrafted rookie who became a starter and gave Harden hell round one before one of the greatest game 7 peer romances ever
He grew into one of the best defenders in the sport and a knockdown shooter who saved the championship run in that series vs the Nuggets
His moonball three from halfcourt in game 7 is the moment where it felt like the championship was won
From undrafted to a champion with the Thunder, I hope the #5 isn’t worn for the Thunder again
Thank you @luthebeast for everything, we’re not champions without you
OKC fans and media were actually justifying that it was ok to go into the second apron for LUGUENTZ DORT just because they hadn’t made the inevitable deal yet. All of them are auto muted.
lowkkkk if you don't agree with this then you're at least a bit disingenuous about the whole format issue. you can argue about whether it's worth the tradeoff for tank enjoyment and all that but support is near objectively more fun in 5v5 and the player count reflects that
Kane shoots, Bellingham goes after the rebound but the keeper doesn't spill it
Rogers shoots, Bellingham goes after the rebound, this time the keeper spills it, Bellingham scores the winner
Make your own "luck"
Bellingham may have scored two goals and made last man tackle to deny a sure equaliser, but as a pure football fan, I’d rather he doesn’t do all of that but instead make 70 touches, 80 completed passes, and 10 spins in midfield to prove to me that he’s a pure central midfielder.
The secret to riffing is being able to make a surprising connection faster than other people for this purpose. For this reason, I keep a reverse hashmap of all jokes I've ever heard, indexed by punchline. So I can find the joke in O(1) time
