I'm hearing MYSA is trying something else to get some of those teams back. Like a league within a 75 mile radius, instead of the smaller TCSL radius. Still leaves Duluth out.

@Tim_Sas @joshranft_ My guess is they were part of MYSA since the Twin Cities is closer to Eau Claire than the cities they mentioned they travel to now. I seem to remember some State Soccer Assoc. dust up between WI/MN back then and who teams had to register through. Superior had issues with it too.

@NicholasFerroni I coach HS, but teach Elementary/Middle Sch. I bet my team that if we went to State, I would shave my beard which I've had for yrs. Of course we made it to State. I obliged with a shave, & my unknowing 5th graders didn't recognize me the next day. Thought I was a sub. Good times.

@KnebelTami @LakotaMan1 I also recommend previewing it first. There are some scenes of violence, abuse (including implied sex abuse), death, etc. that some students aren't mature enough or ready for. But then again, neither were the actual kids who were forced into such situations.

@KnebelTami @LakotaMan1 I've been teaching it to 6th graders in MN public schools for a couple decades or more. I use the film, "Where the Spirit Lives" which depicts a Kainai (Káínawa) girl's boarding school experience in Canada. I highly recommend it.

@vetshak Got it. But from a coaching standpoint-- at the some ages, we can do set play drills until we're blue in the face, then the kids will go out there and do whatever the heck they want anyway. Lol.
