Part 1…
"The moment of truth.
Can @CelticFC become not only the 1st Scottish
The 1st british
But the 1st non Latin team to win the European Cup"
59 years ago today 11 players all from within 33 miles of Celtic Park made history an done just that.
Happy Lisbon Lions Day 🍀🏆🦁🇵🇹
Something else that has been missed in all the mayhem is that Stevie Woods now has 30 winners medals at Celtic, making him the club’s most decorated ever player or coach. What an incredible servant to Celtic FC 🧤
This is what Celtic Football Club is all about. 💚
Young Theo has been in hospital since birth, has sadly undergone over 200 operations in his short life. He is blind and brain damaged due to everything he has had to endure, and on April 1st he celebrated his 5th birthday.
His dad sent this into us and told us to share it with the Celtic family.
Every single year, Celtic players make the effort to go and see him in hospital, but this year was extra special… this year they brought the league trophy with them. 🏆🍀
Just imagine that moment. A little boy who has spent his entire life fighting battles most of us could never even begin to understand, surrounded by the smiles, voices and love of the players from the club he and his family adore.
People can say what they want about football, but moments like this remind you that Celtic is so much more than just a football club. It’s community, compassion, humanity and love.
This club really pulls at your heart strings sometimes.
From everyone at The Parkhead Faithful, we are sending all our love and strength to the brave little champion and his family. YNWA 💚
I understand the emotion around a huge penalty decision in a massive game. Football does that to people.
But at some point emotion has to give way to evidence. When freeze frames, angles and clear contact are sitting right in front of us, denying it because it doesn’t suit your team or narrative just kills any honest debate.
What’s even worse is when professionals and pundits, who know the game inside out, deliberately drive a narrative to suit an agenda rather than analyse what’s actually in front of them. That only fuels tribalism and misinformation.
You can debate consistency. You can debate interpretation. But you can’t just ignore unrefutable evidence because it’s inconvenient. Football discussion is far better when honesty matters more than point scoring.
Moment of complete madness by ex-Jambo Sam Nicholson for Celtic penalty v Motherwell in 95th minute. Nicholson runs & jumps elbow first into Trusty's jaw, then does a 'hand of God' to knock ball onto his own head. Absolutely mental.
Sharing a wee drawing i done a few years ago since we're approaching a special anniversary season of the 1st non Latin team to win the European Cup 🍀
