According to this Labour Government 16 and 17 year olds are mature enough to vote, but not to serve on a jury. That is an "adult duty" apparently.
They are old enough to vote, but are now subject to a government-mandated social media curfew at 8.30pm.
The only consistent thing about Labour's votes at 16 policy is the blatant party political self interest.
These thugs fractured the spine of Sgt Kate Evans, who spoke in court of the medical and emotional trauma she still lives with.
Prison is where they belong.
Unlike Zack Polanski, I want serious consequences for anyone who attacks police officers risking their lives to protect us.
After 18 months of “standing up to Putin” the Labour govt quietly issued a licence allowing imports of Russian oil refined in third countries.
Yesterday Labour MPs voted AGAINST UK oil and gas licences.
We are now importing from Russia instead of drilling in the North Sea.
Insane.
Just pointing out that I broke the story 7 months ago that Mandelson failed vetting from the security services and put it to Downing Street...so the idea that Downing Street only found out on Tuesday is complete nonsense.

Labour doesn’t seem to realise that offering failed asylum seekers £40,000 to leave creates a £40,000 incentive to come to Britain to be a failed asylum seeker
The murder of Charlie Kirk is a tragedy, and a sign of the utter desperation and cowardice of those who could not defeat him in argument. Charlie Kirk has been killed not for espousing extremist views - because he didn’t. He has been killed for saying things that used to be simple common sense. He has been killed because he had the courage to stand up publicly for reasonable opinions held by millions and millions of ordinary people both in the US and Britain. The world has a shining new martyr to free speech.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
Rachel Reeves now accused of wrongly claiming to have had her work published in one of the world’s leading economics journals, adding to existing claims about exaggerations on her CV.
The Chancellor’s entry in Who’s Who lists her as a contributor to the Journal of Political Economy, to which she has never contributed. But she has had published a single article in a far less prestigious publication, the European Journal of Political Economy.
Apparently the error is equivalent to claiming to have studied at University in Oxford when you went to Oxford Brookes University.
Those with entries in Who's Who are asked every year to review them, update and correct.
“Why they want to join a collection of economies synonymous with slow growth and stagnation is a puzzle.”
@AfNeil says Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves have chosen the path of European social democracies with low economic growth.

A high tax, low opportunity budget.
Hitting employers for short term gain shows a lack of vision for the future. Record breaking tax levels when we should be focussed on driving growth to channel investment and opportunities across the country.
Labour have today broken their promises, they’ll do it again but we must keep our belief in Britain.
Labour wants the private sector to be its engine of growth.
Labour wants the private sector to invest much more.
Yet The Times reports Labour will jack up private employers’ NICs (public sector employers will be exempt)
And is preparing a raft of new employee rights and regulations.
Baffled as to how you square all this.
The FULL Winter Fuel Payment interview with Lisa Nandy. Sorry if my frustration about the risk to the 780,000 poorest pensioners missing spilled over with slightly bad language.
