🚨 BREAKING: LINDSEY GRAHAM DEAD AT 71, HOURS AFTER RETURNING FROM UKRAINE
Senator Graham passed after a “brief and sudden illness” following reports of a cardiac arrest at his home on Capitol Hill
Coincidentally, a similar 911 call related to a cardiac arrest at Mitch McConnell’s DC home was made just weeks ago as well. He has not been seen in public since.
South Carolina lost a statesman and I’ve lost a friend.
My prayers are with his sister and the rest of his family.
From his humble beginnings to the Senate floor, Lindsey always led with faith, family, and South Carolina first.
Lindsey remained committed to public service and doing what he loved. He always introduced levity and brought wit to the most challenging moments.
Lindsey will be missed.
The world tells you to "follow your heart." God tells you to seek His wisdom.
The very first temptation in the Garden of Eden wasn't just about eating fruit, it was about choosing wisdom apart from God. The serpent promised that by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Adam and Eve would "be like God" (Genesis 3:5). They reached for wisdom on their own terms instead of trusting the One who is Wisdom itself. The result wasn't freedom, it was sin, shame, and separation from God.
We still face that same choice every day.
Will we build our lives on our own understanding, or will we humbly seek God's?
If you want to grow in true wisdom:
• Read God's Word daily. His truth renews your mind.
• Pray for wisdom. God promises to give it generously to those who ask (James 1:5).
• Fear the Lord. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." (Proverbs 9:10)
• Surround yourself with godly, wise people who will speak truth into your life.
• Obey what God has already revealed. Wisdom grows when we put His Word into practice.
• Stay teachable. Pride blocks wisdom, but humility invites it.
The smartest person in the room isn't the one with the highest IQ. It's the one who knows they desperately need God.
Don't chase knowledge that puffs up. Pursue the wisdom that transforms.

6 AM SUNDAY CHANTAL UPDATE
Tropical Storm #Chantal made landfall near Litchfield early this morning around 4 a.m. and is now weakening as it moves through Horry County. Most of the heavy rain is falling north of the storm's center. As the system continues tracking northward, rainfall will shift in that direction as well. Expect rain to increase over the next few hours in Robeson, Scotland, Marlboro, and Dillon counties, where an additional 1–2 inches is possible. The heaviest rain should exit the area by around 1 p.m., leaving a few scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Winds will continue to gust between 20 and 30 mph throughout the morning before gradually weakening this afternoon.
5 AM SUNDAY CHANTAL UPDATE
According to the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm #Chantal made landfall near Litchfield Beach at 4 am. The first U.S. landfall of the 2025 season...hopefully the last but that's probably a pipe dream.
Winds will gust in the 20s and 30s this morning before subsiding this afternoon. While the heaviest rain will build north and west, a few additional scattered showers and storms could redevelop in the afternoon.
5:30 PM SATURDAY TROPICAL STORM CHANTAL UPDATE
TROPICAL STORM WARNING in effect for the Grand Strand.
Chantal has shown little change in organization today and remains a 45 mph tropical storm. A slight uptick in strength is possible this evening before it makes landfall late tonight or early Sunday morning somewhere in Charleston and Georgetown County. Once inland, it will gradually weaken. Bottom line—no changes to my earlier forecast. Here’s what I’m expecting:
🌧 RAIN – Scattered showers and storms will become more numerous late tonight into early Sunday morning. From mid-morning through the afternoon, rain and storms will be more hit-or-miss. Some areas could see heavy downpours and localized flooding. Rainfall totals east of I-95 may reach 2 to 4 inches, with lower amounts expected farther west. Drier and more typical summer weather returns Monday and continues through much of next week.
💨 WIND – Winds will increase late Saturday night and peak Sunday morning, with gusts up to 40 mph near the coast and around 30 mph farther inland. While windy, these speeds typically do not cause damage, so no significant wind impacts are anticipated.
🌪 TORNADO – While the tornado risk for the eastern half of our viewing area from late Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon is very low, it’s not zero. Make sure you have a way to receive warnings, just in case.
🌊 COASTAL CONDITIONS – The rip current risk remains high Saturday night and Sunday. Minor coastal flooding is also possible around high tide Sunday.
I’ll be with you all night long so check back often for updates.
5pm EDT 7/5 Tropical Storm #Chantal Key Messages: Dangerous beach conditions will persist through Sunday from NE Florida to the mid-Atlantic US Coast. Heavy rain will cause flooding concerns for parts of the Carolinas through Monday.
Tropical storm warnings and watches are in effect for portions of the coastal Carolinas. Expect deteriorating conditions this evening and tonight.
