@ApolloKarnataka its been 10 days since discharge of our patient and I am yet to get my deposit back. In spite of numerous follow ups, the Billing and Finance dept are sleeping over the issue. This issue is with Apollo Hospital Bannerghatta Road Bangalore.

This behaviour by @TheOfficialSBI Branch Manager is simply not acceptable.

If you are doing customer interface work in Karnataka, especially in a sector like banking , it is important to communicate to customers in the language they know. Being adamant like this is simply not right.

I have time and again raised this issue of mandatorily posting local staff or staff who know the local language in banking operations, both inside and outside Parliament.

Just a few weeks ago, at a Public Accounts Committee meeting, I had raised this issue to the DFS Secretary who assured me action will be taken to follow a office notification that makes this requirement of local language knowledge compulsory.

Looks like this still isn’t being enforced properly. I urge the concerned at @TheOfficialSBI to immediately implement the DFS policy that mandates local language requirement.

I have spoken to concerned authorities to take action against this manager who has behaved in this manner.

Banks working in Karnataka should serve customers in Kannada. Period.

Luck is a big part of any success in life. It starts right from birth, with our genes, parents, family, etc.—all of these are the luck of the draw.

None of the success that's ascribed to us would have happened without my father. He was not only the biggest cheerleader of @nikhilkamathcio and me but also the first customer whenever we attempted something. In a way, he was our VC.

He gave me the initial seed capital when I decided to trade, he was my first customer when I did multi-level marketing, and the first customer when I started a sub-brokerage and portfolio management business. He supported us in anything that we tried, no matter how foolish it seemed in hindsight. All of this with the limited resources he had access to.

One of the most emotional moments in my professional journey was when I was invited to speak at Canara Bank, where my dad worked his entire life until he retired a decade back, with him in the audience and in tears when I was giving the talk.

He gave his whole life to the bank and helped many small businessmen without any expectations. He saw the success of his customers as his own success. He embodied the traditional Indian middle-class values that hopefully we both can stick with throughout our lives, even when he is no longer with us to guide us.

Here is one to all the fathers and mothers behind the scenes of almost every successful person out there.

I had sent many direct messages to @BajajAllianz because I try not to put things in the public domain. But we have been constantly harassed; through sms-es, whatsapp messages, emails and particularly through bot driven calls. I asked, as politely as I could, if this bombardment could stop. I was promised it would but it hasn't . So, @BajajAllianz we have told our insurance agent, an old family connection, that we will use any health insurance except #BajajAllianz. I wish I didn't have to put it in the public domain but many DMs have failed to get them to understand. I wish you well but I will never have anything to do with you again.
