He received a warning that a village upstream had been swept away by the river. He immediately rang the school bell and moved the children and teachers to higher ground.

School buses were on the way to school, He called the bus drivers and told them: "Don't come here. Go back."

One school bus was already on its way. The headmaster saw it approaching the bridge and told the driver to turn back. The bus reached safety just before the bridge collapsed.

Then the flood hit the school. The entire three-storey school was washed away. It completely vanished. Not even a trace was left behind.

But all 1,643 children survived.

How to use Police to settle Personal vengeance.

Jr. Kharge ordered Police to arrest Mohan Gowda because he put Celebration-Post on his Facebook about the cancellation of Kunal Kamra's show in Whitefield. Mohan filed the case and Kamra's show got cancelled.

Now to settle the Personal enmity, Jr. Kharge ordered Whitefield Police to file the case against Mohan Gowda. A constable traveled all the way from Whitefield to Udupi (400KM) and arrested Mohan at 2am and brought him to the Whitefield Police station.

As Rama strategizes Lanka’s invasion and Sita’s extraction, Lakshmana reports spotting a comet in the Mula nakshatra. This is no ordinary conjunction.

Mula is a prominent collection of stars found on the tail of the scorpion. A comet visiting a constellation or an asterism has always been a special occasion in the ancient world. Either a good omen, or a bad omen. Here, it’s a bad omen...for the rakshasas.

Valmiki narrates this sighting in Yuddha Kanda 4:52-53:

nairṛtaṃ nairṛtānāṃ ca nakṣatram abhipīḍyate,
mūlaṃ mūlavatā spṛṣṭaṃ dhūpyate dhūmaketunā.
sarvaṃ caitad vināśāya rākṣasānām upasthitam,
kāle kālagṛhītānāṃ nakṣatraṃ grahapīḍitam.
“The Mula constellation of the titans is badly aspected, in that it is touched by a comet risen with a tail of light and tormented by it.
All this has come for the destruction of the titans, for, the star seized by death is oppressed by a planet in its last hour.”

Now since comets are not a permanent fixture in the night sky and have a fixed periodicity, somehow figuring out when a comet might have passed through this asterism could easily give away when the Ramayana happened.

Luckily for us, doing this is entirely possible using modern astro-simulators like Stellarium, etc. Which is exactly what Nilesh Oak did.

He went all the way back to 16000 BC and ran the simulation in the Mula region, one day at a time, for every year since. Hoping to spot anything out of norm.

Nothing.

Until he found one.
