4/4. when we were with them. Allan made me, an absolute fresher at the time with little experience, feel seen and important. This loss feels personal. @AIIANational@BryceWakefield
3/4. It was only after he left did I find out that he was Allan, the president. This interaction somehow always stayed with me and I realize why today. People, and our relationships with them are predicated on memories-the good, the bad, and most importantly how they made us feel
2/4. and on this day, a lanky, bespectacled academic walked into the office and gently sat on my table as I was editing the weekly articles of @ausoutlook . He spoke to me for a good five minutes, asking about the article I was writing, my research interests, and few other things
1/4. I remember my first and only interaction with Allan Gyngell. It was back in 2020, when I had just started my internship at @AIIANational. Although I knew Allan was the president, I had never met him. It was normal for academics to stream in and out of the office everyday
It's been a very difficult day today. I hope to have conveyed above all how what a thoroughly decent human being Allan was in my obituary for @AIIANational. There are many reasons he is so beloved, and it is not just for his wisdom. https://t.co/eSJqawjTl6
On this IWD, I am volunteering with @UNWomenAust to help with their first International Women's Day of Giving to empower Pacific women as leaders. Every dollar that is donated is matched. Please do your bit guys :)

In this post-post-Cold war period of strategic uncertainty, can middle powers avoid subjugation without a nuclear deterrent? An op-ed on what Australia could do @AIIANational@ausoutlook

“Australia should … quietly and methodically acquire the technology and materials necessary to build nuclear weapons on short notice if the political conditions require.” https://t.co/TM4WiTUaL8 @AIIANational@sbmukilan
So pleased that my @AusOutlook piece on #UAE - #Israel relations is out today. Thanks to @AIIANational and esp @sbmukilan for bearing with me as I edited and re-edited as events on the ground changed!

@10sunshinegal Trying my hardest to create awareness about gender studies. It is the future and the true path to world peace. Incredible to see you guys already carving this path. Love @10sunshinegal@gensecproject
An incredible honour that my very first published article is on a topic I feel so passionately about. My sincere thanks to @gensecproject for this opportunity.

Today we are having a day-long UNSC simulation exercise to debate the crisis in Yemen as part of @ANU_APCD’s 4-day long Intensive Negotiation Workshop hosted by Peter Rogers and @ClaudeRakisits. @ANUBellSchool @ANUasiapacific
Third day of our 4-day intensive negotiation workshop @ANU_APCD @ANUBellSchool. Today the students will resolve #Kashmir. Given the past 70 years of failure by the international community in resolving this issue, their approach could only be an improvement!
