"I'm just like any modern woman trying to have it all"... 🥀
Last Spooky stream we revealed #morticiaaddams as the latest cosplay!
Who shall I be next 👀
Who else loved this era of #Theaddamsfamily
Hollywood this week: a film about toy cars, a film about a phone game where biscuits run away, and a teaser for a show that doesn't start filming till 2027. Somebody check on the bloke who used to have ideas.
There are a lot new folks to streaming. So maybe they don't understand decorum in someone's else's stream
Don't promote your shit in other peoples streams.
A: Without permission
B: Most streamers (Myself included) will give you a shout out anyway if they are a good egg.
C: You have socials. Use them. That's where your stream promo should be going.
D: Definitely don't be a cock end about it after being called out for doing so.
No:
I'm going live in 10 minutes.
I'm just about to go live
I'm playing this game in 5 minutes live on my channel.
For a lot of folks myself included. Streaming and content creation is a business. As well as a community of course, but it's how we keep the lights on pay for meds and put food on the table.
So imagine yourself running a business then a competitor sets up shop right in the middle of your shop floor and or office.
Not cool right?
Be smart. Use ya noodle.
Manners maketh man.
Much love!
I’m going to have to stop these TLDR speeches on here.
Back in the 00s, when I first started streaming on JustinTV, nobody knew anyone. The online celebrity wasn’t a thing. Everything was still in its infancy. Social media, the second wave of the internet. It was a bunch of nerds and geeks showing their passions off to the two or three people watching, and there was nothing wrong with that. Stream quality was low. Streaming gear wasn’t a thing. Camera quality was awful.
I was lucky. I had a decent job in the gaming space. I didn’t need to stream. I loved doing it. I was doing stand-up in shit-hole bars in New York, then in California when I moved west. It didn’t matter how many people were in the room. One laugh. One person whose night I made. That was enough.
The game has changed a dozen times since then. The narrative hasn’t.
Attitudes. Online feuds for clicks. Outlandish content. Talentless hacks shoved down people’s throats off the back of reality television, and everyone convinced they can be a star.
You were sold a lie. There is no golden ticket. There is no formula. It’s luck, and being in the right place at the right time, or a fluke in the algorithm.
I’ve known some of the most talented people you’ll never hear of, because they bought the same lie. They focused on becoming famous instead of getting good. Real talent, squandered.
Platforms and multi-billion-pound companies push that 1–2 percent, and everyone else fights over the scraps. If entertaining doesn’t come naturally to you, it is a hard road, and most people on it will not make it. That’s not a slight. It’s just how this works. You can get better at the craft. You cannot manufacture the thing that makes a stranger stay.
If you’ve got a small core audience, people actually watching you, live or pre-recorded, in our tiny corner of the internet, that’s a win. The days of becoming the next big thing are gone. Focus on being self-sustainable.
Make good content. Build a community. That survives the storm. Chasing a dream that will not put food on the table will not keep the lights on.
You are your own worst enemy when you’re watching everyone else instead of your own work.
We have a saying back home.
Wind your fucking neck in.
Thanks for reading.

I'm in Dan's chat a lot. I've seen him at the height of his career and at the bottle of a barrell. No matter what's going on he finds a way. I see his point though. I don't interact much on X but I see a lot. There are a lot of dickheads in streaming and in content creation.
Man. There is a lot of hypocrisy in the streaming community.
It's sad seeing so many good people being taken in by it.
Question the narrative folks. Don't just accept the gas lighting and being told what you should think.
You are allowed your own opinion. Hey, we might not always be right but at least point out the BS. Don't just agree with the "Big account" because you think it gives you clout.
If someone says one thing one week. Then realises their "Hot takes" (We need to stop using this term). Hurt their viewership and follower counts...
So in turn then does a 180 a week later to save face. That's not a good person. You need to mute them. Or! At least take the piss out of them.
The worlds your oyster.
I'm fighting illness on 4 different fronts currently. I don't have it in me to fight for you. So have at it! Do the thing. You got this!
So it's the second Ko-Fi club of the month or w/e. Check out the link in. Comments to join and get involved!
Man, I was hungry in this picture. I hate nerds. Horrible people.
Unless you're dealing with c***

This is been a PSA from AutoCog city.
Now f*** off you c****!
