A dad with dementia who hadn’t recognized his own daughter for a while suddenly remembered her on her wedding day.
She surprised him with a canvas and paintbrush right before the ceremony, knowing painting was something they used to enjoy together.
As he started painting, the familiar motion triggered a brief moment of clarity and he immediately recognized his daughter.
He ended up walking her down the aisle.
Beautiful.

Parents, let me be extremely clear…
If your child uses “retarded” or “faggot” in my classroom, they are out. And it’s a reflection on you as well. I didn’t mince my words. And if they learned it from you… shame.
To the majority of parents who are raising your children to respect others, you’re doing it right, we see that, and appreciate you.
God’s heart is torn apart by wars, violence, injustice and lies. But our Father’s heart is not with the wicked, the arrogant, or the proud. God’s heart is with the little ones and the humble, and with them He builds up His Kingdom of love and peace day by day. Wherever there is love and service, God is there. #ApostolicJourney #Algeria
The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time.
The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more.
But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.
Boss: We are not allowed to work from home.
Employee: Okay.
Boss: The client texted you at 9 pm yesterday. Why didn’t you respond?
Employee: We are not allowed to work from home.
Work boundaries matter.
Serious question:
Why does the U.S. always have trillions ready for wars…
but suddenly becomes “broke” when Americans need healthcare, lower taxes, or a better life?
Congratulations to the U.S. Men’s and Women’s hockey teams, Alysa Liu, Breezy Johnson, Mikaela Shiffrin and all the amazing Olympic athletes representing @TeamUSA.
Last night, the DeSantis administration snuck in and tried to quietly erase the state-approved crosswalk to honor the 49 people murdered at Pulse Nightclub.
So this afternoon, the community showed up to do a little chalking.
I love you, Orlando. 🌈

Empathy is not weak or "woke." And, by the way, "woke" just means you give a damn about other people."

If our Christianity causes kids to go hungry, the sick to go without healthcare, the stranger to be unwelcome, the elderly on social security to be called a “parasite,” all while billionaires get richer, we’ve profoundly misunderstood the most basic elements of Jesus’ teachings.
We are actually living in a time where Christians see mercy as offensive, empathy as a sin, and diversity, equity, and inclusion as a threat.
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness.” -Isaiah 5:20
Lord, have mercy.
Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.
