Baseball fans will bitch and complain nonstop about salary caps and big markets always winning and building super teams but the moment that two small market teams have a guaranteed WS appearance everyone is bored
Sports fans are genuinely insufferable man lmao
So… are Packers fans allowed to celebrate DOG WALKING Ben Johnson & his backup QB like Bears fans celebrated beating us without…
Jordan Love
Micah Parsons
Zach Tom
Devote Wyatt
Tucker Kraft
or does that only work one way?
Just asking cause this is belt to ass!
Are we ready to admit that Stanford, Cal, and Oregon, Washington being in the ACC and Big Ten is among the dumbest things ever in sports?
Can’t believe we let this shit happen
The NFL concluded their review of the Chris Rodriguez fumble and decided it wasn't a fumble. Case closed. But then afterwards they said hey, maybe not, maybe it was a fumble. So they've decided to review it again. Just simple, good process right there.
Old guy yelling at the cloud moment for me. Taking an endzone shot on 4th down up 2 TD’s with 20 seconds left and the game over is pretty tough to watch.
First trailer for Mike Flanagan's ‘THE EXORCIST: MARTYRS’, starring Scarlett Johansson.
The film follows a detective who watches a serial killer's execution - only for his murder spree to continue in demonic ways.
In theaters on March 12, 2027.
Recent example is game 4 against Braves. Dropped pop up led to a run, Albies double should’ve been a triple. Little things. Braves found ways to lose, Dodgers found ways to win. Sometimes it’s not about money, it’s about mindset
Winning teams find ways to win games, it’s really that simple. Sure, they have a high payroll, but so do the Mets. Why aren’t they still playing?
Go back to last year’s WS. Blue Jays had every chance to win and didn’t. Dodgers just found ways to win. Championship DNA
"This what LA has been doing year after year after year in the postseason... It was a real crisis moment on the road and the Dodgers played nearly perfect baseball."
@colincowherd on the Dodgers advancing to the NLCS over the Braves
Same people crying for a salary cap because they want more market teams to be successful are now crying because there are 3 small market teams in the ALCS/NLCS and it's not interesting enough.
That's why I don't believe a single word you crybabies say.
The Dodgers are in every way what the Yankees used to be. Yes they have all the advantages of spending the most money but they also play the game the right way and they are mentally tough and grind games out. That's why they win.....it's not just the money. Hell the Mets spend money.
It's a culture thing. They have winners on that team. So they win.
The fact that four of the five teams remaining are 19th or worse in payroll could not come at a better time for baseball. The owners have very little ground to stand on when arguing that money is the determining factor in competitive balance.
Your baseball pastime is watching your team’s front office underspend, watching your season end, and then complaining about a franchise that actually invests in its players, facilities, coaching, and fans.
My pastime is logging onto X to read the galaxy-brain takes on why the Dodgers are "ruining baseball."
Every year, the script is identical:
1. Your owner pockets revenue-sharing checks and acts like signing a solid middle reliever is a generational sacrifice.
2. Your team gets knocked out of October.
3. You jump online to explain how elite scouting, top-tier player development, world-class facilities, and actually spending money to win is somehow unfair.
The Dodgers didn't break baseball; they just refuse to use your owner’s budget excuses. Blame the payroll all you want, but at a certain point, you have to admit your team's strategy is tricking you into believing cheapness is a virtue.
Enjoy the off-season. Keep the cope coming.
