There’s so much that needs to be addressed about the situation and everything that happened behind closed doors leading up to this

However, that’s not the priority

The priority is obviously making sure compensations are put in place in regards to refunds

I am actively working with Easton now to figure out the refund situation

Even if I have to put up some of my own personal funds to cover some of the refunds, it’s something that I’m more than willing to do

I want to put this to all of you, my fellow South Africans. In particular, I want to put this to black South Africans.

Every day, I am told on X that I am not an African, that I should go back to Europe, and that I am unwanted. Then I am told to return the land that I "stole" and that, somehow, I am a millionaire that has benefited from Apartheid and, more recently, white privilege. For the most part, these comments come from anonymous black folk whose sympathies lie with @Julius_S_Malema and his @EFFSouthAfrica party. I find this fascinating.

My question is this: what am I to you really? I can tell you who I am. I can tell you where I came from. I can tell you how I am successful. But you are not interested in any of these things. You labour under the belief that, if I were gone, you would by default inherit everything about me that you covet. I want to know how you arrived at this conclusion? Do you believe that I was given everything that I have? Do you believe that someone like me is simply successful because of how he looks? Do you believe that a piece of land, in of itself, will guarantee you the riches you dream of?

There are a few outliers (black Twitter users like @VusiThembekwayo and @IkeKhumalo1) who voice the truth, that is to say, who tell of the incompetence of @GovernmentZA and those who call themselves our leaders. These people are often referred to as "clever blacks" and are accused of selling out their own people, ironically the same thing that one could say about those who make up our kleptocracy. I applaud these people and their courage. As for me, I have long since stopped trying to offer people advice on X. The only thing I encountered when I did try was aggression, resentment, and a belief that I was what lay at the root of these people's problems.

White people make up 4 million of a total population of 60 million South Africans. We have an unemployment rate of about 31%. That equates to almost 20 million people, yet somehow, we are the problem? It is believed that we own the majority of the land in South Africa. This may be true when you consider individually owned land, but this does not include land owned by companies or the government. In fact, most communal land is black owned. And this is the point – the communist parties in South Africa want ALL land to be held by the state. They don't adhere to principles of market economics and are openly resentful of private property. The ANC has made no secret of the fact that they want to run South Africa as a nanny state. They seem to think that the fact that more people are on welfare in this country than are active in our economy is something to be proud of.

Obviously, there will be those who agree with them. Why have they managed to stay in power, otherwise? That they have shown themselves to be wholly incompetent in running anything, much less a country. They have managed to destroy every state owned enterprise that they took stewardship of 1994. These were built by my ancestors. And they hate me for that. They hate the fact that my people were able to create a modern country from nothing where they have been unable to build anything.

Ugh. Why am I even writing this short novella? Simply put, I am frustrated. South Africa has so much potential but our leaders convince us that we are enemies of one another. As long as there are those of us who are lazy, entitled, racist, or gullible this will never change. No matter how much someone like me calls BS.
