Your friendly neighborhood baristas fighting for a voice and power in the City Beautiful 🎢🍊 Meet us at Mitchell Hammock in Oviedo and at 535 & Vistana.
No better way to kick off the holidays than to help Organize a day of action to support striking Starbucks Baristas. As a former Barista, this is personal to me. They were also able to raise a significant amount of money for their strike fund at my festival! Solidarity forever ✊🏾
BREAKING: While baristas continue the largest ULP strike in Starbucks history, 19 more stores filed for a union election today - one of the biggest days in SBWU history.
330+ workers across 15 states hope to join the 250+ baristas who have unionized since mid-Nov. alone. $SBUX
If you want to help support your local baristas during this holiday season, consider contributing to our gofundme! Every bit helps! https://t.co/dEkYnHkf17
Thank you to everyone who showed up yesterday - fifty to sixty people of all different groups, unions, and causes united in a single demand: for Starbucks to support its workers with a fair contract. We’ve been awed by the outpouring of support from Oviedo and Orlando as a whole.
People from unions like SIEU, NEA, CWA, and more! Electeds like Maxwell Frost and Anna Eskamani! Groups like Orlando DSA, SALT, Seminole Dems - all united in saying no contract - no coffee.
Join us tomorrow in Oviedo for our big blowout holiday picket! Electeds will be there to show support, we’ll have a lot of community members out to show support! We’ll be starting at 7 to join our partners nationwide in demanding a fair contract!
We’re still holding the line in Oviedo! Join us tomorrow again at 7 to keep up the pressure so Starbucks comes to the table and finalizes our contract!
The Jeff Bezos owned Post thinks the Starbucks CEO deserves his $96 million paycheck-6,666 times more than what the median worker makes. Shocker!
Bezos became $3.38 billion richer YESTERDAY & is worth $254 billion. To him $96 million is peanuts.
Democracy dies in oligarchy.
We had a great time today connecting with the community while we held the picket. We’ll be out tomorrow again at 7 and onward until we earn our contract!
This morning, in the largest expansion yet, hundreds of new union baristas are walking off the job in 34 cities. We’re only getting stronger 💪
That means there are now:
🗣️ 3,800 baristas
☕️ across 180 stores
📍 in over 130 cities
on an open-ended ULP strike!
