Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez on Iran:
Twenty-three years ago, another US administration dragged us into a war in the Middle East. A war that, in theory, it was said at the time, was being fought to eliminate Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction, bring democracy and ensure global security.
But which in reality, seen in perspective, produced the opposite effect, it unleashed the greatest wave of insecurity that our continent has suffered since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The Iraq War generated a drastic increase in jihadist terrorism, a serious migration crisis in the Eastern Mediterranean and a generalized increase in energy prices.
Donald Trump said earlier it was 'possible' Starmer was pandering to Muslims.
12 hours later, here is he is holding a 'Westminster Hall iftar' telling the Muslim community that Britain was not involved in attacking the Iranian terror regime.
Donald Trump was right.
⚡️BREAKING
Spanish PM responds to Trump:
'23 years ago, another US government dragged us into a war in the Middle East
A war that, in theory, it was said at the time, was being fought to eliminate Saddam Hussein's nuclear weapons and bring democracy'
The world, Europe, and Spain have faced this critical moment before. In 2003, a few irresponsible leaders dragged us into an illegal war in the Middle East that brought nothing but insecurity and pain.
Our response then must be our response now:
NO to violations of international law.
NO to the illusion that we can solve the world’s problems with bombs.
NO to repeating the mistakes of the past.
NO TO WAR.

Africa remains tied to aid because too much value leaves the continent. We export raw materials cheaply, import finished goods expensively, lose billions through illicit flows, and face debt systems that keep us borrowing. Aid isn’t development — structural change is.
On Energy: France a country of 65 million people generates 4x more electricity than all 47 countries in sub-Saharan Africa with a population of 805 million.
On Trade: moving a ton of fertiliser from a port in the United States (9000km away) to the port of Mombasa costs $40, but moving the same ton of fertiliser from the port of Mombasa to Kampala a mere 1000kms costs $120. It costs 30 times more to move cargo between African borders than it costs to move to African ports.
Should we continue blaming the colonisers?
A book and a pulpit shaped Africa, but they could not forever hold a fear-stricken crowd from reclaiming its voice....
Sonko Sifuna Obasanjo World Cup Nigeria
It is now one year since my spouse, Dr. Kizza Besigye, was abducted from Nairobi and taken to prison in Uganda. A year later, the case against him has not moved in court. Endless injustice: military detention, illegal confinement, denial of bail. A justice system captured.
A young man is overjoyed to find a complete house
Built by his father with the money he sent while working abroad for over seven years.
He is happy because his father did not mismanage a single cent. It's a touching story,
As many people do not trust their patents with such responsibility.
An employer in Eldoret City

@DCI_Kenya, immediate action is needed.

We wish Fred Matiag'i was the CS
I fully agree with Edwin Sifuna and James Orengo that the Orange Democratic Movement should never support Ruto’s reelection. The man thrives on lies. Look at the Emali Matiliku road he loudly launched two days ago. The machinery has already disappeared and no work is taking place. It was nothing more than a staged publicity stunt. This pattern is visible across the country. Empty promises, deception, and calculated political drama.
This man was falsely accvsed of thẽft after the woman claimed he stǒle her bag. When the police arrived & found the man’s ID and belongings in the bag, the woman said it was a mistake that she’s sorry 🥴
🗣️ Didier Drogba : "When Messi, I and some of the players did an ad for a beverage company before the 2010 World Cup, Messi met some people in a remote village in the African forest , played football with them, but in the end he said to me in a serious tone, "Didier, do you see that these people drink dirty water while we play for millions of euros?" The next day I heard from the company director that Messi donated his entire share of the ad to dig wells for the village and build a good hospital, school, playground and other things.
The best thing is that he insisted on not mentioning his name in this donation. Six months later, Messi sent a doctor, an accountant and an engineer to the village to make sure that the money reached its owners and that the projects were actually built. Do you know the phrase that is still embedded in my mind to this day? On the plane back to South Africa, I asked him, "Why all this secrecy?" He gave me an answer I will never forget: "Because Africa doesn't need ads, it needs actions. And real actions don't need testimonials!" Messi's greatest goals were not scored in the goal, but in the hearts of those who do not know football! And whoever knows football will know that Messi is the best player in the history of football."
