Interested in mind reading or in LLMs and eye tracking?
Come by our #ICLR2026 poster on decoding open-ended reading goals from eye movements, tmrw at 15:15-17:45, Pavilion 3 - #1525
Coming up at #ICLR2026!
Check out pretty incredible work by Cfir Hadar @scaperex Yoav Meiri and Amit Heshes on decoding open-ended reading goals from eye movements 👀🤯
Imagine you are reading this post with some specific question in mind.❓🔎 For example, is this yet another person who is going to brag about their ICLR paper acceptance? It turns out that it's possible decode which question you had in mind from your eye movements! 👀 🤯
Now out in @ScientificData, OneStop a 360-Participant English Eye Tracking Dataset with Different Reading Regimes.

We’re introducing a new multimodal (👀+📜) challenge: decoding cognitive and linguistic information from eye movements during reading.
7/ 📊 Current models vary in the information they use, and in the performance across tasks and evaluation regimes. No single model consistently outperforms the rest.
This indicates substantial room for progress in multimodal modeling of eye movements and text.

I’ll be presenting our work on predicting human reading comprehension from eye movements 👀🎯at #EMNLP2024!
Tomorrow, Nov 12 (Tue) 16:00-17:30, Session 04 (Linguistic Theories, Cognitive Modeling and Psycholinguistics 2)
Hope to see you there!
Is it possible to predict human reading comprehension solely form eye movements during reading? Check out our lab's EMNLP 2024 paper by @scaperex, @YoavMeiri and Cfir Hadar, that studies this long-standing question systematically.
TLDR: it's very hard! https://t.co/cnUZ19nNVr
Excited to share our CoNLL 2024 paper on two open frontiers for psycholinguistics and language modeling: (1) goal driven comprehension (i.e. information seeking) and (2) repeated processing, with 👀📖 data.
Work by outstanding undergrad @Keren_G_K, @YoavMeiri and @scaperex.
