@dalevon_digital I mean for you that’s fair! You tend to upgrade your phone every year or two I assume, it’s worse for people who plan to keep this phone for a long time or want to use it for more demanding tasks.
@DominykasSam@TechHome100 Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying you shouldn’t use a pixel, they are my favourite phones too despite their cpu/gpu. But I can love them and still think they’re chipset is bad relative to the competition and they need to figure it out.
@dalevon_digital The hardware isn’t subpar for me, it’s simply subpar. It’s cpu/gpu is generations behind that’s not really up for debate.
Oh i have my complaints about samsung and iphones too, but im more critical of pixels as they’re the phones i actually like and use.
@EveryDayTechSJB@mweinbach 6 generations of tensor and it is still multiple generations behind other flagship chips, unacceptable at this point considering they’re charging flagship prices.
@DominykasSam@TechHome100 Considering the phone costs the same as other flagship phones now “just fine” isn’t acceptable. Being multiple generations behind for the same price isn’t okay.
@dalevon_digital Things like “people buy pixels for the software not the hardware” which I agree is true. But that doesn’t mean we should accept sub par hardware. Don’t get me wrong pixels are my favourite phones, I just want them to be even better, and they should for that price.
@RealSlickNickk@dalevon_digital As a pixel fan I buy them for the software, that doesn’t mean I don’t care about the hardware. Now that the price is comparable to the top performers I expect hardware that competes. We shouldn’t make excuses for subpar performance now that it’s priced at top tier prices.
@jhf3488@Saltshaker87@Xvector55@valuetainment It was never meant to compete with fibre, at least not for a long time. But when fibre isn’t an option there’s nothing better than Starlink. Average person doesn’t really care about upload either, down is what really matters.
@gdb Switched from Claude to ChatGPT Work. Being able to jump into the same project from my phone, Mac, or browser is so much better, and it just handles bigger projects way better.
@thsottiaux I switched due to the fact that I’m not constantly hitting limits with it and the fact that I as a consumer don’t feel like I’m going to get priced out of using it in the future.
