I actually disagree with this. Giving Peter a completely new love interest just to prove that No Way Home “mattered” could honestly make that ending feel more artificial, not less.

MJ forgetting Peter doesn’t mean their relationship suddenly became meaningless. If anything, it makes their dynamic more interesting because Peter is carrying years of memories that she doesn’t have. He has to meet the same person again while knowing exactly what they once meant to each other. 💔

And honestly, changing MJ simply because Peter needs a “new chapter” feels like throwing away one of the most emotionally complicated consequences NWH created. Let Peter deal with what actually happened instead of pretending that relationship never existed.

Peter had been working on that inhibitor for DAYS and MJ basically walked in, looked at the problem from a completely different angle and helped him figure it out in minutes.

You just know that did something to him. Peter is a genius himself, so having MJ challenge his thinking instead of just agreeing with him is probably one of the things he finds most attractive about her.

And the little smile afterward? Yeah… bro is absolutely fascinated by this woman’s brain. 🥹
