@Dave_White Agree- compared to other B1G schools, Pike got a bag of chips...stale ones. He has a GM. We're all pretty sure that Zinn is providing him with at least respectable funding to build the roster. Next year, his buyout drops from $22 million to I think $13M. Still too much but....
@JohnPawl66@StevePoliti But there was no trouble. And the instigators were the people who didn't want you and all of us to watch. So, it seems like you supported the instigators.
The majority of the No Kings protests have dispersed at this time and all traffic closures have been lifted.ย
We had more than 100,000 people across all five boroughs peacefully exercising their first amendment rights and the NYPD made zero protest-related arrests.
@StevePoliti Still a lot to learn about how money will be made and spent (see B1G equity moves). But seems that if there are any lessons to learn (do we EVER learn?) then long term contracts are simply not sustainable outside of a handful of schools. Which then leads to super league talk.
@jrpsaki Help! Why is the media ignoring so much of the lying from the #GOP & the administration? Why don't "journalists" push back? When will something positive happen to stop the slow motion insurrection?
@RepJeffries Let the Republicans cause the government shutdown. DON'T GO ALONG. It's their fault; let them explain it. But keep up the pressure and the MESSAGE that it's THEIR FAULT. Make the GOP pay for their sins!
@aaron_breitman Terry Shea & Chris Ash were outsiders who didn't try to understand how things worked. Schiano did, so the feeling is ya gotta be a Jersey guy. I don't buy it; Zinn will figure this out faster than most (I think....I hope)๐ค
@aaron_breitman Personally, I think the "Garden State political machine" is overrated. I feel that there are issues, but Ed Bloustein was a small college admin, came to RU, & worked the legislature like no one else. If you're smart and creative, you can make things happen. See reply next...
@aaron_breitman Rutgers has been "plagued" with too many insiders (yes, RU grads) and those lacking bigtime experience in jey posts. It siubds great, hiring alums, but we've thought too small for too long. This point is spot on.
@aaron_breitman I'm concerned about cutting programs. RU only has sports that are in the B1G, and not in all of them (e.g. men's tennis & swimming). Although it would like Rutgers to be better financially, I don't think the conference would necessarily like any losses from conference sports.
@BarstoolRU 1 football, 1 basketball, 2 wrestling, 1 M Soccer, 1 W Soccer, 1 field hockey, 2 M lacrosse, 1 softball. As someone said, spread the wealth, but I'm a wrrestling guy. Repeats in any sport are tough.
@StevePoliti This one isn't click bait. Read the article. LSU should not be the model abd that's what the column says. Read and think! I know that isn't the norm these days, but try, people!
