Born in 1987, we're a UK-based medical specialist society and charity. Focus is education, R&D in perioperative care - especially development of open standards.
We've booked a room at the Lightbox, Colony, Piccadilly, Manchester for our Working Group meeting on Monday 24th Feb 2024. Topics to include an update on the #fhir IG for the intraoperative phase of anaesthesia. Full programme to follow. https://t.co/2WByv0KY26
Due to insufficient interest and bookings for our planned ASM, we've decided to hold a Working Group Meeting instead. The venue and date are the same. Details are on our website at https://t.co/2WByv0Kqcy
We've posted the draft programme for our ASM on 26-June 2023 in Glasgow. This year's theme is "Digital Care Records in Anaesthesia - Past, Present and Future"

We've filled all three of our trainee subcommittee posts. Welcome @DrRichFenton and @GasDoc_Cometh who join James Selby. Also welcome @Benj_Hardy as Ordinary member. We still have vacancies for Secretary and Ordinary members x2. If interested, I can send you the role description.
Today we remember Dr Andrew Norton. @scata_uk representatives at the funeral in person & online of a man who made such an enormous contribution to informatics within anaesthesia. RIP A.N.
Due to time constraints, budgets etc, it hasn't been possible to secure a venue for the Annual Scientific Meeting in June. Plan B is to push back to a Monday in October, with the option of a #gashack the weekend before. We'll have our AMM on zoom in June.
Our recruitment drive has paid off! Pleased to welcome Dr James Selby, CT6 based in London as the newest member of our trainee subcommittee. We still have one vacancy, no past experience or credentials required, just enthusiasm for tech in digital health.
Both the Times and the Salisbury Journal have published obituaries for the late Alastair Lack, founder member of SCATA. https://t.co/axs4HHHSNx
