A democratically elected British Prime Minister has been driven from office by a relentless campaign of propaganda and misinformation; funded, amplified and perpetuated by foreign billionaires and elites whose interests bear zero resemblance to those of ordinary working people.
A noble gesture from an emotional Keir Starmer, entirely consistent with his conduct in office.
A truly sad day for British democracy.
His full resignation speech:
You know what Burnham and Markerfield proves?
This is a good country. Full of good people. This app is false. It’s a meeting point for wankers who share racist and xenophobic ideas.
You lot crack on, best of luck. England is REAL offline. That’s the best England 🏴🩵🫱🏾🫲🏻🫱🏽🫲🏾
If only the rest of Reform councillors who realise they made a mistake were brave enough to admit it we wouldn't be in the mess we are in. This is exactly what the majority of us could see though. All bluff and no actual clue for Reform.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry reading this.
Are they actively trying to blow the fucking bond market up? Gilt yields are already at post-2008 highs on the rumour of him alone.
Triple lock and a tax cut for pensioners. Paid for by the young, who are taxed, frozen, and priced out of a home they will now never own.
So we beggar two generations to gild one. We tax the cradle to subsidise the grave. And then we wonder why nobody is having children.
What is wrong with these people? We were promised adults in the room.
Made an offer on a second hand book on eBay for £3 which seller rejected. Stuck a bid for opening auction bid price of £1.16 and just won the auction so seller has lost money over the offer 🤦♂️ Granted it's less than £2 but still.
Complaining about nightlife when you *checks notes* choose to live in Soho is like living in South Kensington and complaining about the museums. Or moving to Hackney and grumbling about creatives. Living in Richmond and hating green space. It's all getting a bit silly, isn't it?
COUPLE MOVE FROM NEW ORLEANS TO EDGELY TO OPEN AUTHENTIC CAFE WITH BEIGNETS, GUMBO AND MORE
Bloom Care & Wellbeing is a new cafe in Edgeley, Stockport. Founded by Alicia, who recently moved over from Louisiana with her family, they’re serving authentic New Orleans cuisine (with all the correct ingredients shipped over from the States).
You can enjoy gumbo, a fresh, hearty stew with rice, sausage and crab meat, as well as po’boys - a fluffy baguette filled with salad and a fried filling like chicken, shrimp or halloumi. Most things are served with Alicia’s signature ‘ComeBack’ sauce, correctly named because it will make you want to come back.
What we’d really recommend doing though is getting down early and trying the fresh, sugar-topped beignets with another New Orleans staple - chicory coffee. You’ll thank us later.
It’s the addition to the Stockport food scene we didn’t know we needed…

Can't have a holiday to count down to because I'm about to start chemo but I can at least have a count down to just 5 more days of self injected blood thinners which are horrid. #fuckcancer
I feel so sorry for trans people. It must be exhausting in this current climate. Every day waking up to some new nonsense forced-rage story aimed at your existence, while doing nothing but peacefully going about your life.
Imagine if a candidate of any other party was found to have deleted an account with so many disgustingly offensive posts. I suspect we will hear very little of this as the Double Standards Squad continue to ply their trade to the benefit of the 5 million pound man
@DOPreston I'd certainly rather kids be out and about exploring museums and learning/experiencing culture etc with their parents through free travel rather than causing a nuisance in the community through boredom. Some people really need to give their head a wobble don't they!
