Katie has been in a grave for over 19 months, helped there by Illinois policies that work at cross purposes and fail to protect the innocent in this state.

Illinois turned its back on Katie. It is the Illinois I know now, and the reason I am being forced to find a new place to live out the rest of my life, and where I can, in good conscience, be buried with Katie.

That place will not be Illinois.
Remember, it’s an election year.
Huge amounts of money will be spent.
Plenty of mistruths will be told.

As a lifelong Illinois resident, I know better.
I just hope the mask is finally off this year.

That's why I reacted so strongly to the word. But in the future i'll be more careful to stop and look carefully at the source, and not just the words.
