On #SundayTODAY: In this week’s #SundaySpotlight, @CalNBC reports on "beep baseball," an inclusive version of the quintessential American pastime. The silent sport involves beeping balls, buzzing plates and even blindfolded players.

Our president and founder still needs our help as he navigates an expensive medical recovery. If you are able to contribute, we would be gravely appreciative.
We need Darren back on the field to run our beep baseball programs.

After a tough Saturday filled with pain, little sleep, and some emotional breakdowns, today has been a really good day.
A home nurse came by yesterday and adjusted my feeding tube. Almost instantly the pain dropped from about a 6 to a 1 or 2. That change alone made a huge difference. I finally got a solid night of sleep, and I am starting to find a rhythm with my tube feeds, which has been one of the harder adjustments to schedule and manage.
I am also finding support groups, learning new tricks to make feeds easier, and honestly, having the sun shining has done wonders for my mindset. I even got in a shower and shave without feeling like fainting (it felt nagical). Small wins matter right now.
Christmas is my favorite time of year, and since we are temporarily staying with my parents, it has been really refreshing to be part of the holiday energy again. The tree is going up, and I am excited to decorate and set up the train with my family. Today feels positive, and I live for days like this.
I know there will be tough days ahead. Days when I crave foods I cannot have, struggle with feeds or just general depression. But days like today give me hope that I can still build a healthy and fulfilling life, even if it looks different than before.
The generosity shown by friends, family, and the #lafc community through our GoFundMe has been incredibly meaningful. One of the biggest worries for Kym and me has been how we would manage the cost of equipment, supplies, home modifications and the time she needs to take off to care for me. The support we have received has helped ease that fear more than you know.
Thank you to everyone who has checked in, sent messages, donated, or simply kept us in your thoughts and prayers. It truly makes a difference.
Here’s to the positive days ahead and having the strength to get through the tough ones. Appreciate you all.

As I wake up after my eleventh night in the hospital, I am overwhelmed by the kindness pouring in from so many of you, in what have been some of my darkest days. It reminds me how much love surrounds me and how many people are holding me up.
