🚨 Eight Apache helicopter pilots who flew in South Carolina's beloved Salute from the Shore event have reportedly been suspended pending an investigation.
According to someone close to one of the pilots, all eight received a message informing them of their suspension immediately after landing. Their identity has been concealed, and officials have not yet released details explaining the reason for the investigation.
As a lifelong South Carolinian, this pretty much sums up how many of us feel:
When you're visiting South Carolina from out of state and you see us having fun, mind your own business. If you see something you don't like, feel free to return to whichever state you came from and stay there. And stop moving here... we are full!
Salute from the Shore is a tradition that honors our military and brings communities together. Before people rush to judgment, let's wait for the facts to come out. Until then, I'll be standing with the men and women who took the time to honor South Carolina and the people lining our beaches. 🇺🇸
@ErickMarrero_@WakeBaseball South Carolina had a top 10 baseball operating /NIL budget the past 2 years and it was transformed into the 2 worst seasons in history. Rooney was the recruiting coordinator
Happy Carolina Day! SC and Francis Marion played a pivotal role in our freedom and squelched the Southern strategy of the British during the years that followed this battle.
On Carolina Day, we celebrate the grit, courage, and fighting spirit that have defined South Carolina since 1776.
Before the Battle of Sullivan’s Island, President John Rutledge urged the defenders, “Do not make too free with your cannon. Cool and do mischief.”
When the odds were stacked against them, those men stood their ground and changed history. That same spirit lives on today in every South Carolinian who believes in faith, freedom, and love of country.
May God continue to bless the Palmetto State and the people who make her strong.
Happy Carolina Day!
