Grade 1 students visited Craven Farms on Monday, October 28 to pick out their pumpkins in advance of #Halloween! Below, Grade 1 Teacher Ms. Amos' students pose with their finds and take part in other farm activities.
Last week, Ms. Bauer and Ms. Hartman's grade 1 students culminated their unit on electrical interaction by lighting up light bulbs, running motors to turn propellers, and making color wheels!
This past weekend, SCDS kindergarten soccer athletes played their first game of the season! Up against St. Anne's at St. Luke's soccer fields in Shoreline, they utilized their soccer fundamentals while working as a team. PC: Josh F.
Our grades K-3 and 4-8 Cross Country athletes stretched with their teammates and faculty coaches before jumping into their runs, ranging in distance from two to 3.7 miles!
The student support team at the #RainierRagnarRelay also included an SCDS fourth grade student who reused her Wax Museum costume to dress up as RBG and serve as the team's mascot!
Three SCDS Middle School students supported SCDS parents during the #RainierRagnarRelay this August. During the 16-mile race, they provided encouragement, took photos, and updated the captain's excel spreadsheet with start, finish, and pacing times.
#ThrowbackThursday to our grade 4 student who became a Librarian for a Day this spring. She assisted with book checkout, class lessons, and designing informational signs. We look forward to having her as a student library assistant next year!
