there’s a tech called TEEs hardware technologies that allows users run code in a protected environment.

But it has some downside like:
- making architecture more complex than it should be
- slowing down computations
- vulnerable to hackers (they’ve been hacked before).

@gensynai decided against using TEEs, rather they built a unique system that allows each node to prove that it actually did the computation using cryptographic proofs rather than trusting the hardware.
