He did it again. @RoKhanna introduced a deficit reduction plan that actually saves $12 trillion over next decade! It does it without hurting average American, it actually cuts waste at the Pentagon, needless corporate subsidies, etc. This is how you do economic populism right!
@wendyp4545 I thought Republicans were the fiscally responsible ones. Or is that only when Democrats are in power? So you are a RINO if you don’t believe in increasing our debt by trillions of dollars? I would say the RINOs are the ones who passed this in the house.
@thejackhopkins And I say Bravo Europe. I don't want, and never did want, to be the caretaker of the world. Democrats used to be for peace, and now they love war. They used to be about decency, and now they can't even stand for a kid with cancer.
@elonmusk@BreakingPointsN Where is the evidence? Just because Elon said it doesn't make it true. DOGE has stated many comments about the waste being found, but now they are making more and more corrections. I want to believe there is a sudden cause for egg price increase.
@BreakingPointsN Definitely. Should be done more frequently. A great opportunity for Democrats to step up and show they really do care about our debt and spending problems. They have campaigned on it, so how about it Democrats, unite and support DOGE
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has long strayed from its original mission of responsibly advancing American interests abroad, and it is now abundantly clear that significant portions of USAID funding are not aligned with the core national interests of the United States.
As an interim step toward gaining control and better understanding over the agency’s activity, President Donald J. Trump appointed Secretary Marco Rubio as Acting Administrator.
Secretary Rubio has also now notified Congress that a review of USAID’s foreign assistance activities is underway with an eye towards potential reorganization.
As we evaluate USAID and ensure it is in alignment with an America First agenda and the efforts of the State Department, we will continue to protect the American people’s interests and ensure their tax dollars are not wasted.
@SenAdamSchiff I think he is keying in the added requirement, "and subject to the jurisdiction". What does this mean? Why even say this unless they had additional requirements in mind. Never been challenged. Now it will be.
On Dec 3, 2020, I asked President-elect Biden, about reports that Trump was considering preemptive pardons. He said “it concerns me in terms of what kind of precedent it sets, and how the rest of the world looks at us as a nation of laws and justice” https://t.co/5jQ3QR46Sw
My pledge from now on: I don't care whether someone has an (R) or (D) attached to their name; if they are an elected official & dropping the ball, I'm going to be on their ass. It's time we see ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS as people to be held to high standards.
We are where we are now because of a combination of what:
1. Trump and other corrupt Republicans DID.
2. The Biden Administration/DOJ DIDN'T do.
3. The people who could have voted that sat on their brains instead of voting.
If msnbc thinks beating the drum of Trump is Hitler will help America unite, they are wrong...if they think Maddow will gain a larger audience by doing this...they are stupid.
