SM | A hard loss to take today in a hard fought game against Edinburgh Athletic. However, the game was marred by the use of homophobic slurs multiple times by one of their players to ours. Unfortunately the referee did not hear it but it was clearly heard by not only Dynamo players, but Athletic players too, who stood by their team mate instead of doing what everyone should be be doing and calling out this kind of unacceptable behaviour in our game. No doubt the player in question won’t care because there was no repercussions on the pitch and he said it multiple times so he clearly had no issue with using it, and they may even laugh about it, but we feel it should still be highlighted. There’s no room in the game for hate like that, especially at this level where it’s played, ultimately played as a hobby.
