@formermissNJ @hobartpulp What I got from it is that they think there's a lot inferior writing by WOC, women, and queer writers being published because of politics. If they think that they should pick a book and critique it. What they did is stereotype people as bad writers.

@Theholisticpsyc My parents were emotionally neglectful but my symptoms are totally different. I turned completely selfish. Focusing on my emotions and needs only. I have some hypervigilance towards some people but then complete ignore (not oblivious though) others.

@saderotica but you cant have a shallow discussion aimed at insulting people and not expect them to be insulted. if you want to say inferior work is being published because of race and gender, dont shotgun your criticism. name a book and write a critique.

@saderotica both are attention seeking. there are some things in that interview that could be discussed with nuance. like white editors filtering what stories are authentic writing by woc. or journals using diversity as a calling card for quality.

@THEJohnMcNee @LWhannell The point isn't that nobody should give negative criticism. He's saying that being in the same industry gives you different perspective and discourages you from giving public negative criticism.
