Rahul Gandhi will never attack Nitin Gadkari despite knowing that his sons run an ethanol company whose revenue went from 18 crore to 723 crore in a year, but ill tell you exactly why in a bit.

Gadkari sir is rooting for ethanol blending since 10 years now, this policy literally converts each sugar mill into an ethanol factory.

But who owns the sugar mills of India?

In Maharashtra alone, 104 out of 207 mills are private, and almost every single one is owned by a politician.

Sharad Pawar's late nephew Ajit Pawar controls 6 mills with 58,000 TCD capacity, the biggest sugar baron in the country.

The Vilasrao Deshmukh family runs 10 mills through Manjara Group.

Vijaysinh Mohite Patil, Jayant Patil, Vishwajeet Kadam, the entire Maharashtra Congress and NCP leadership runs sugar empires.

In Karnataka, 33 of 34 private mills are owned by politicians. The Jarkiholi brothers, M B Patil, Murugesh Nirani, Prabhakar Kore, S Shivashankarappa, all Congress, all sugar barons.

Now do you see the problem yet? When ethanol blending goes from 5% to 20%, every single one of these politician-owned mills makes crores in extra revenue.

Gadkari's sons made 700 crore. But the Pawars, the Deshmukhs, the Patils, the Jarkiholis, they ALL made their cut.

The worst part is that these mills dont even pay their bills

The Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghtana estimates that of ~180 defaulting mills in Maharashtra, 77 are linked to BJP, 53 to NCP, 43 to Congress and the rest to Shiv Sena leaders

This is not a Gadkari problem. This is a sugar lobby problem that runs across every party. The opposition cannot attack the ethanol policy because their own MLAs would be the next target.

जयपुर की एक साधारण बेटी रेशु गुप्ता की यह पुकार आज हजारों नहीं, लाखों लोगों का दिल झकझोर रही है।

रेशु बताती हैं कि उन्होंने बीएससी (मैथ्स) की पढ़ाई की, प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी की, लेकिन पिता के कोरोना काल में निधन के बाद परिवार की जिम्मेदारी उनके कंधों पर आ गई। मजबूरी में उन्होंने बच्चों को ट्यूशन पढ़ाया और आखिरकार अपनी मेहनत से मोमोज का छोटा-सा ठेला शुरू किया, ताकि मां और बहन का सहारा बन सकें।

लेकिन उनका दावा है कि 25वें दिन ही उनकी जिंदगी बदल गई। रेशु के अनुसार, कार्रवाई के दौरान गर्म पानी से भरा स्टीमर गिरने से वे गंभीर रूप से झुलस गईं। उनका कहना है कि वे मदद के लिए चीखती रहीं, लेकिन उन्हें समय पर राहत नहीं मिली। इसके बाद भी न्याय की लड़ाई आसान नहीं रही। उनका आरोप है कि शिकायत दर्ज कराने के लिए कई दिनों तक पुलिस थाने के चक्कर लगाने पड़े।

रेशु कहती हैं कि आज भी वह अपने इलाज का खर्च खुद और उनका परिवार उठा रहा है। वह किसी से बदला नहीं चाहतीं, सिर्फ निष्पक्ष जांच, इलाज में सहायता और न्याय की मांग कर रही हैं। उनका सबसे बड़ा दर्द यह है कि उनके चेहरे और भविष्य को लेकर उनके मन में गहरी चिंता है। वे कहती हैं, "मैं हारना नहीं चाहती... बस थोड़ा टूट गई हूं।"

रेशु ने सरकार से अपील की है कि पूरे मामले की निष्पक्ष जांच कराई जाए, यदि किसी स्तर पर लापरवाही हुई है तो जिम्मेदार लोगों पर कानून के अनुसार कार्रवाई हो। उन्होंने अपने इलाज का पूरा खर्च, आर्थिक सहायता और सुरक्षा की भी मांग की है। साथ ही कहा कि यदि सड़क किनारे रोजगार गलत है, तो ऐसे लोगों को सम्मानजनक रोजगार का विकल्प दिया जाए।

यह मामला केवल एक व्यक्ति का नहीं, बल्कि न्याय, संवेदनशीलता और जवाबदेही की कसौटी भी है। निष्पक्ष जांच और तथ्य सामने आना जरूरी है, ताकि पीड़ित को न्याय मिले और भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं की पुनरावृत्ति रोकी जा सके।
