@DrivetheTacos@SaffronOlive I use makeplayingcards. Website is a little shady, definitely use PayPal or something rather than your bank card. But I've never been disappointed with the cards.
@hankgreen I want it to be Mastodon. But it's gonna be bluesky. The killer app of a service like this is people. And Bluesky is gonna get to critical mass first.
@hankgreen@umaenot @PhilosophyTube This is the greatest interaction in the history of my Twitter feed.
Please let there be a Philosophy Tube/Complexly crossover.
With or without spicy innuendos.
Stop π Spending π Money π On π Commander π
And any unsanctioned games/formats.
Spend money on tournaments. Spend money on draft/sealed events.
Proxy LITERALLY everything else.
It's a game. Play the game.
@GavinVerhey Not even Gavin could give me confidence that wotc/Hasbro is not gonna bungle this up.
Commander is the stone Hasbro is going to squeeze blood from.
@SaffronOlive This ends in tears. Anyone butthurt over losing value that is now cheering this - sorry, this is the beginning of the end. WotC NEEDS an outside force with teeth to stay their hand. With no one left to take their foot off the gas, the bus is headed straight for a cliff. Express.
@SaffronOlive I'm pretty sure that a ban is necessary - regardless of price, it's just too generically powerful that it goes in most every deck.
But - it took this long, that wotc clearly refused to ban a card just because it was selling packs, if they ban it NOW, I might sell out of modern
@Carmparens I've wanted to watch it for weeks, I almost took a day off to go to a theatre a couple hours away. But now that I can stream it.... I'm legit scared. Like I think I need to be in the right head space to see this.
@maro254 Card that is banned every 3-4 years.
Card that is detrimental to a meta every. single. set.
PLEASE listen to people who are suggesting these last minute changes are harmful and not a good idea.
Test the cards. That does not feel like a big ask.
@SaffronOlive Some churn in the meta is good, but cards being near 100% odds of becoming obsolete in a relatively short time just makes Modern pointless to me, certainly at current prices. I don't understand why anyone would buy into it.
