Je viens de m’entretenir avec le Premier ministre israélien Benjamin @Netanyahu.

La libération de tous les otages et la sécurité d’Israël sont une priorité pour la France.

J’ai appelé le Premier ministre israélien à mettre fin aux frappes sur Gaza et à revenir au cessez-le-feu, que le Hamas doit accepter. J'ai souligné que l'aide humanitaire doit reprendre immédiatement.

Nous continuerons de travailler sur le plan arabe de reconstruction et à l'indispensable retour à un horizon politique fondé sur la solution des deux États, qui seule peut apporter la paix et la sécurité aux deux peuples. Tout déplacement forcé ou annexion irait contre cette perspective.

J’ai aussi appelé Israël au strict respect du cessez-le-feu pour lequel il s’était engagé au Liban. Cette exigence s'adresse à toutes les parties de manière à garantir toute sécurité aux populations civiles des deux côtés de la ligne bleue.

Sur le Liban, après mes échanges avec le Président libanais vendredi et cette discussion avec le Premier ministre israélien, nous avons décidé de travailler ensemble.

Le mécanisme de surveillance doit être renforcé, en vue de restaurer pleinement la souveraineté du Liban.

Cela passe notamment par un retrait complet d'Israël du territoire libanais, et par l’appui à la restauration du monopole de l’État sur les armes.

Enfin, suite à mon échange téléphonique de ce vendredi avec le Président syrien Al-Charaa, nous avons discuté avec le Premier ministre israélien de la stabilisation de la Syrie et de la restauration de sa pleine souveraineté.

Nous continuerons de nous coordonner étroitement avec les autorités israéliennes sur l'ensemble de ces sujets prioritaires.

Le Moyen-Orient a besoin de stabilité. Seule une paix juste et durable peut garantir l’avenir de tous.

🆘🆘 from our @UNRWA staff in northern #Gaza.

Nearly three weeks of non-stop bombardments from the Israeli Forces as the death toll increases.

Our staff report they cannot find food, water or medical care.
The smell of death is everywhere as bodies are left lying on the roads or under the rubble. Missions to clear the bodies or provide humanitarian assistance are denied.

In northern Gaza, people are just waiting to die.
They feel deserted, hopeless and alone. They live from one hour to the next, fearing death at every second.

Throughout the war over the past year, some UNRWA staff stayed in the north & did the impossible to provide aid to internally displaced people.
We kept some of our shelters open despite heavy bombardments & attacks on our buildings.

On behalf of our staff in northern Gaza, I am calling for an immediate truce, even if for few hours, to enable safe humanitarian passage for families who wish to leave the area & reach safer places.

This is the bare minimum to save the lives of civilians who have nothing to do with this conflict.
