@daniel_dsj2110 The Twenty-Five Years of Philosophy.
A Systematic Reconstruction by Eckart Förster, one of the best books I've read covering how German philosophy got from Kant's first Critique to the Phenomenology of Spirit.
@thamosdeaf Completely agree that it was the dumbest possible decision, but why would they learn anything from the problems with Castellano and Part II? After all, they ended up with Michael Gazzo as Frank Pentangeli in that situation. Maybe they were hoping for a similar stroke of luck
@xgabegottliebx@Unversun What order would you suggest? The Natural Right and the two Introductions from 1797 made a huge impression on me and I wanted to read either the System of Ethics or the Nova Methodo next.
@xgabegottliebx I think you're right. Still, in that specific context I think it does feel a bit unnecessary to bring up Hegel in order to clarify what Marx means by saying that commodities "directly or indirectly" satisfy human needs, so the author of the review does have a point.
@DennisSchulting That sounds cool...Also, you might want to take a look at Brunkhorst's piece in the volume of Klassiker Auslegen on Dialektik der Aufklärung: "Dialektik der Aufklärung ist im Ganzen eine Diskussion und Kritik von Kants kritischer Philosophie."
