Mark Carney easily has one of the worst starting records of any Canadian prime minister.
Can anyone point to a real, tangible accomplishment? Not an MOU or an agreement to come to an agreement, but a real, actual accomplishment?
CBC quoted Lowan’s speech right up to the line that reveals the ideology—and then stopped
In their election-night write-up, CBC reported: “We may have a small caucus, but tonight we have inherited an enormous responsibility, and that is to hold a majority Conservative government to account.”
What she said next, according to the full transcript (and the video CBC itself posted):“We are the only party who is equipped to stand against the Conservatives and their existence.”
That is not “holding a government to account.” That is declaring the victorious party’s existence illegitimate. It is the language of elimination, not opposition
If a BC Conservative candidate had said the NDP or Greens needed to be opposed “and their existence,” it would have led every newscast, every panel, and every CBC segment for days. Instead, the line was edited out of the written coverage while the surrounding sentences were used to portray her as a responsible voice of accountability
This is not an oversight. CBC has the full speech on their website. They chose which sentences to quote and which to bury. Meanwhile, hosts and panels continue to treat the BC Conservatives as uniquely dangerous while soft-pedaling a 26-year-old party leader who just framed an entire party’s existence as the problem to be solved
Age is not a shield. “Movement building” is not a euphemism that erases the actual words. Selective quotation that stops one sentence before the most revealing line is not journalism—it is CBC narrative management
The video is on CBC’s own site. The transcript is public. The CBC omission is the story @brodiefenlon
APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE TO ANY TENANTS READING THIS, BUT I’M NOT STAYING QUIET.
I’ve housed you for four years at $1,750 a month. You’ve never been late. You’ve never trashed it. You’ve been a solid tenant. Then I sent the renewal: rent’s going up $275.
YES.
You’ve paid me almost $84,000 over four years. That money covered the mortgage (which I’m still on the hook for if anything goes wrong), property taxes that keep rising, insurance premiums that have jumped hard, maintenance and repairs that cost more every year, and all the other costs of keeping the place habitable and legal.
The equity and any portfolio growth come from the capital I put in, the risk I took, and the fact that I own the asset, not from the rent check itself.
You’re the one writing the check every month for the right to live there. At the end of it, you own nothing because you didn’t buy it, finance it, or take on the ownership risks. I did. If the roof fails, the HVAC dies, a pipe bursts, taxes go up again, insurance spikes, or you leave and it sits vacant, that’s on me.
A $275 increase isn’t “because the market lets me.” It’s because the costs of providing the housing have gone up, insurance, taxes, labor, materials, compliance.
Recent data shows typical homeowners paying ~$1,380 a month just in maintenance, taxes, and insurance on top of the mortgage, with insurance up sharply over the last several years.
Apartment owners have been keeping only about 11 cents of every rent dollar after debt service, operations, taxes, and the rest.
Expenses have often risen faster than rents.
Stop treating landlords like a free housing subscription that never has rising costs. The rent pays for the use of the property and the service of ownership. The equity belongs to the person who bought it and bears the risk.
If you want a version where some of the money eventually becomes yours, buy your own home.
Stopped by @RoyalCdnLegion Branch No. 284 to make a contribution as the National Poppy Campaign kicks off.
Please join me in wearing a poppy as we approach Remembrance Day. It’s a meaningful gesture to honour those who have served our country and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

‼️ MAJOR BREAKING -
A German Member of European Parliament just said this about Carney:
“Ursula von der Leyen wants to lure Canada into an associate membership of the EU.
What does that even mean?
Since CETA is already in place, it COULDN’T BE ABOUT TRADE RELATIONS.
What, then?
Apparently, Ursula von der Leyen is no longer content with merely terrorising the peoples in the EU with HER INSANE REGULATIONS, BUREAUCRACY & CRONYISM.
No, she is looking for yet another people whose industry she can WIPE OUT, whose PROSPERITY SHE CAN DESTROY,
whose speech she can CENSOR, and whose countries she can FLOOD WITH EVEN MORE ILLEGAL MIGRANTS,
THUS TURNING CANADA INTO A LIVING HELL.”
The question is, is MARK CARNEY STUPID ENOUGH TO FALL FOR IT?”
Good question.
The full scope won't be defined until 2027.
So the Liberals are negotiating to join something nobody can define yet.
WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE SIGNING UP FOR?
Canadians have not been told!
#REPORT: The Carney Liberals have announced that they are contributing $100 MILLION of your tax dollars to the GROW Initiative, which they say will help fund the construction of an "affordable housing project in the Dominican Republic."
These men didn’t just kill these sweet grandparents. Just killing them would have been a mercy.
They targeted them, terrorized them, and bludgeoned them to death in such a manner to suggest they revelled in it.
Arnold De Jong was found dead in his bed with duct tape violently wrapped around his entire head and face, smothered to death.
Joanne De Jong, was found in another bedroom and died of sharp and blunt force trauma to her head and neck.
Both had their hands and feet bound with rope.
The De Jong’s last minutes on this earth were brutal, horrifying and they suffered more than any human being ever should.
What about their “constitutional rights?”
@BarthelRog56151
All Canadians should take a moment today to remember these fallen heroes, who selflessly devoted themselves to serving our country.
All fine young men with bright futures ahead of them.
Especially with Remembrance Day coming up soon, let's keep them and their families in our prayers. 🙏
In the month of September alone, all job growth Canada made in 2026 was wiped out.
Meanwhile, the US has created over 400,000 jobs this year so far.
Mark Carney is FAILING!
Mark Carney's budget sleight of hand isn't fooling anyone. But it is costing you more.
His Liberal government is cooking the books and mislabelling spending, while trying to hide his doubling of Trudeau's deficits.
The interest on the debt alone will cost Canadians $80 billion a year—over $4,000/year per family.

WHAT HAPPENED TO JOURNALISM? 🎙️🇨🇦
@BenMulroney says journalism shouldn’t be about picking sides. Ask tough questions, challenge those in power and hold every party accountable.
Nobody gets a free pass.

If a CEO changed the rules to make the books look better, shareholders would demand answers.
So why should Canadians accept it from this Liberal government?
💰 $94 BILLION in operating expenses reclassified as “capital”
📊 PBO: the classifications cannot be independently replicated
🌎 IMF: greater alignment with international standards is needed
And now those definitions are reportedly being applied inconsistently.
PM Carney needs to stop inventing definitions used nowhere in the world, and instead use internationally recognized definitions to restore our trust in Canada's books

🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: Carney just told the New York Times that immigration increases are coming.
His exact words: "So that will happen."
He didn't tell Parliament.
He didn't tell Canadians.
He told American media.
You found out the same way you find out everything from this government.
Secondhand.
One message for voters at home.
Another for the American press.
#BREAKING: BC Supreme Court Justice Catherine Murray has ruled that banning people from possessing drugs for trafficking purposes is unconstitutional, claiming such laws "discriminate" against drug users and violate their right to "life, liberty, and the security of person."
