The issue is that these "right wing paramilitaries" are an important part of the CIA run Zelensky regime and mainly act as ideological and political power back stops. Naturally you won't see these cowards anywhere near the front. However, they are quite visible when it comes to tiki torch marches through save urban areas to intimidate civilians and acting as barrier troops shooting at retreating soldiers. By the way, when the Russian army inevitably breaks through western Ukraine, they are likely to "retreat" to western Europe. They are well organized, relatively combat experienced and are connected with all kinds of three letter agencies. I wonder what they will do for a living. I suspect it won't be hospitality and elderly care.
I, as a European, apologize that we can't deliver the full experience that our American visitors are used to. For historical reasons our airports are rather small so we are structurally unable to build oversized conveyors that connect the incoming airplanes with the airports McDonald's so that you can get you daily dose of HFCS, corn starch, sugar and aspartame. The good news is that insulin is quite affordable here and you can get your shots without financing them on the open credit market. We hope you will visit us again soon.
@vladoustinov >people talk about ecology and meaning, but at the same time, they just want to party, smoke cigs & drink
I don't see the issue here. Care to explain?
We know that the G7 (including the US with it's giant SPR) are dumping oil on the markets in a coordinated fashion. This fact is more than enough to explain the relative stability of the oil futures market. The effect is very straight forward: more supply -> smaller price
So why do we need narratives of "market manipulation", "trading algorithms" and a "genius Bessent"? Isn't all of this superfluous?
What the administration has basically done is, while thinking the war would be over quick, prevented the market from finding a proper forward looking price so that potentially more supply could be found to compensate. So instead the market is pretending that nothing is wrong and we are maybe looking at a real oil shock when the SPR runs out. Very dangerous.
@JohnCleese Yes John, the world is looking with envy at the UK where you can change the faces that are all without exception pushing:
- endless migration
- digital ID and mass surveillance
- an ever growing tax burden
- wars for profit
- shrinking civil rights & growing authoritarianism
Tucker Carlson goes on Russian state TV and spews Kremlin talking points:
“There is no Ukraine anymore because they have been pulverized in the meat grinder of this war that we’re directing…anyone pushing that is by definition immoral…Why would you want Russia to respond that way? So you could have a war with Russia and break up Russia. Because you hate the idea of Russia”
Self-proclaimed supporters of Ukraine in fact support:
· unwinnable proxy war to the last Ukrainian
· undemocratic illiberal Zelensky regime
· civil war in Donbas
· illegal overthrow of Ukrainian government by means of Maidan massacre
· Client state status of Ukraine
They brand all this as "pro-Ukrainian" in Orwellian fashion
