Really wanted to like it as I enjoyed BlackBerry, but I don’t think Johnston’s humour was enough to carry its shortcomings.

@anishmoonka His dad worked in GFX and owned a $10,000 computer with $20,000 animation software. His dad let him play on it. Few kids have this access to animation and gfx. Not saying he’s not talented but he’s pretty fortunate.

@Millexcel2 Whiplash was shot in 8 days, a month for a film without much sfx is pretty long. I heard the DP bullied him off shooting certain scenes so the credit is more him than the YouTuber
