Elon showed up with a team and a plan to cut the waste, and Republicans in Congress let most of those cuts die instead of writing them into law.

They campaigned for years on slashing spending, then got cold feet the moment they had the chance.

Voters didn't send them to Washington to protect the bureaucracy.

Codify the cuts and finish the job.
