🚨 REAL MADRID STATEMENT:
Real Madrid C. F. values very positively the decision taken by FIFA to abandon the proposal for partial sale of the commercial rights of its competitions. Our club considers it good news for football, for its institutions and, above all, for the millions of fans of our beloved sport.
Real Madrid would like to express its gratitude to UEFA, the confederations and federations, and all the institutions that firmly and responsibly opposed this project. His unity and sense of duty have protected football at a decisive moment.
The clubs are the basis on which national football and the World Cup are built. They are the ones who discover, train, develop and put at the service of the national teams the soccer players who make these great competitions possible. National football and the World Cup are, above all, events of public interest, and make up a heritage that belongs to the nations, the fans and the whole of society. Therefore, we believe that they should never be treated as simple financial assets intended to be marketed for the benefit of a few.
Real Madrid firmly opposes any attempt to sell the future commercial income of the competitions without assuming in return any of its costs or risks. It is the clubs that support them, and any initiative that intends to appropriate the future income of football without assuming the responsibilities that generate them is unacceptable and should never be reconsidered.
This is also the same principle that Real Madrid has been defending at the national level. Our club opposed and did not participate in its day in the operation by which LaLiga committed a percentage of the future audiovisual income of the clubs for fifty years in exchange for the entry of a private fund such as CVC. Mortgage for half a century an income that corresponds to the clubs, which are the ones who assume all the costs and risks, constitutes a precedent that football should not repeat, either in our country or internationally.
🚨 OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT:
"Real Madrid C. F. and ACF Fiorentina have agreed on the transfer of our player Víctor Valdepeñas."
"Valdepeñas arrived at Real Madrid in 2018 at only 11 years old and has been part of our quarry for six seasons. Last season he debuted with the first team and won with the Juvenil A in the UEFA Youth League."
"Real Madrid thanks Valdepeñas for his commitment in all these years and wishes him and his family the best in this new stage of their lives."
Time to face the truth.
If you offered the job to Ancelotti AND Guardiola it means you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing. No coaches are as different as these two. 🇮🇹
Looks like another “spray & pray” strategy
